Here is the famous Domaine de Fondrèche, a superb property in the Rhône, AOC Ventoux. Find all the best references of this prestigious estate on Comptoir des Millésimes. This is one of our partner estates, which means that their wines are shipped directly to our cellar after being bottled at their estate. The winemakers reserve an allocation of their cases of wine for us each year. So don't hesitate to create an email alert (in the section my Alerts ) on the Domaine de Fondrèche in order to be informed first of the latest arrivals.
The Domaine de Fondreche covers 38 hectares in the villages of Mazan, Mormoiron and Saint Pierre de Vassols. The wines of Domaine Fondreche express the philosophy of the estate: plant the right vine in the right soil, work by hand with the aim of producing great wines. These wines offer a minerality and a balance of freshness and structure between power and elegance. The Fondreche vineyard is undoubtedly one of the largest on the Côte du Ventoux.
The estate reinforces the natural defences of its plots. Indeed, the vineyard is characterised by strong air currents and thermal amplitudes, making it one of the reference areas for Ventoux wines.
The vineyard: The whole of the Fondreche vineyard is worked without weeding and biodynamically (no certification). The objective and philosophy of Sébastien Vincenti and Nanou Barthélémy are above all to produce "Identi-terres" wines! Domaine Fondreche Ventoux is made up of three main plots defined according to the production objectives: the historical plateau for the production of Fondreche red (soil of rolled pebbles, flint and crystalline but also a limestone surface with a sandy-clay texture). The historic terroir of Domaine de Fondreche is also based on its 9-hectare islands for the production of white and rosé Fondreche.
