Bourgueil Mi-Pente 2021 - Domaine de la Butte - Jacky Blot
-
Tasting: This wine comes from the highest part of the vineyard. It is the one with the most complexity of the three. On the nose we find intense aromas: pencil shavings from the barrels, spicy notes, fruits of the forest (blackberries and other wild black fruits). An astonishing balance of tannins! A silky mouth with great sweetness. Remarkable length.
-
Grape variety : Cabernet Franc
-
Terroir : Clay and flint soil on pure limestone.
-
Food and wine pairing : This great wine will go perfectly with an aperitif including charcuterie, Italian pasta and grilled red meat.
-
Cellaring: A very good ageing potential. You can keep it for several years, until 2031.
-
Vinification : Hand picked / Complete de-stemming of the grapes / Natural fermentation in wooden tuns. Maturing in oak barrels, 1/3 new and 2/3 old. Neither clarified nor filtered.
