Domaine Trevallon is a wine estate located in Saint-Etienne-du-Grès, in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, in Provence. It is a recent estate, which planted its first vines in the Alpilles in 1973, and the first vintage was 1976. Eloi Düurbach is the owner of the estate, which covers 20 hectares. The 20 hectares of the estate are planted to 15 hectares of reds (50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Syrah) and 2 hectares of whites, mainly Marsanne and Roussane. Trévallon is one of the most prestigious wineries in Provence, and certainly one of the best in France. It is recognized worldwide for the power of its great red wines, with an excellent capacity of guard.
Domaine Trévallon is also renowned for its great rich and complex white wines, and this one has offered us some incredible vintages. Eloi Düurbach practices integrated farming, without chemical agents, by simply optimizing the natural cycle of his vines. This principle allows the wine of Domaine Trévallon an impressive result in terms of quality, and exceptional vintages.
Eloi Düurbach, one of the most famous winemaker in the world and head of the Domaine Trévallon, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at the age of 71. A great man of wine who will have marked the wine world!
