Order wine : Libere 2021 - Domaine des Closiers
IGP Val de Loire
Presentation of the cuvée :
- The cuvée "Libere" of the Closiers domain is produced from Chardonnay (a small plot of 30 ares). Often, Chardonnay is blended to produce Crémant de Loire. On the contrary, the domain decided to highlight this parcel to propose an atypical white wine in the Loire (in IGP Val de Loire). Harvested by hand with a very low yield (20hl/ha), the wine has a fleshy texture and a dense aroma. Libere comes from Latin and means 'without constraint' in the sense of a whim. A favorite cuvée that delights with its typicity and tension.
- The grapes are harvested by hand and then pressed before being placed by gravity in Burgundy rooms (of 2 wines) for the fermentation and the maturation of about ten months.
- The micro-oxygenation during the maturation rounds the Chardonnay and awakens its notes of dried fruits, apples, honey and its floral and brioche side.
- No product is added during the whole process except small doses of SO2 to guarantee the quality of our wines during transport.
