- “En Quatre Vis” is a Chardonnay from Jura made by Pauline and Géraud Fromont at the Domaine des Marnes Blanches. This special vintage comes from mature Chardonnay vines grown on a plot located at an altitude of 300 meters, in soil composed of white marl, located in Cesancey. The harvest is carried out manually, followed by vinification by direct pressing, then natural fermentation and aging in barrels which have already contained several wines. A tiny amount of sulfur is added at the time of bottling.
- When tasting, this wine reveals aromas of exotic fruits, citrus fruits and white flowers, particularly lime. On the palate, it is characterized by its concentration, its fullness and its balance, underlined by a pleasant acidity, with notes of dried fruits and citrus fruits, and a beautiful persistence on the finish.
- We recommend enjoying this wine with festive dishes such as scallops or flambéed langoustines. It also goes perfectly with fish in sauce, such as Dutch-style salmon, for the most successful taste harmony.
