AOC Anjou-Saumur

Born in 1850, Domaine des Roches Neuves is a wine estate in the Loire department, which extends over 22 hectares of vines. The vineyard is located in Varrains, on the AOC Saumur-Champigny in red wine and Saumur in white wine.

In 1993, Thierry Germain took over the management of Domaine des Roches Neuves, which was already producing the best wines of the Loire at the time. The estate practices biodynamic cultivation and the owner spares no effort to obtain a perfect match between the terroir of Saumur-Champigny and the Cabernet Franc, the only grape variety of the appellation. Small yields, harvesting at full maturity and maturing in new barrels are the imperatives of the estate.
