Situated in a somewhat anonymous alleyway in St Péray in the Rhône, Domaine Du Tunnel has earned a reputation as a leading wine producer in the newly rejuvenated villages of St Péray and Cornas, both famous throughout history and throughout France for the production of excellent white and red wines, respectively. Today, thanks to the expertise of young winemakers like Stéphane Robert, this reputation is gaining greater international recognition. Stéphane started building this estate in 1994, when he was 24 years old. Today he works on 3 ha in Cornas, 2.5 ha in Saint Joseph and 2 ha in Saint Péray, where he owns most of the wines characterised by the intensity of the fruit rather than the oak.
