Tasted by Joe Czerwinski: ‘The 2022 Châteauneuf du Pape is made entirely of concrete. Full-bodied and silky, it reveals aromas of cherry, raspberry and even a hint of lavender. This is a very fine wine’.

- Domaine Giraud Tradition - From an average blend of 60% Grenache, 35% Syrah, and 5% Mourvedre, the grapes are on average nearly 70 years old. The terroir consists of rock, sand, clay and limestone soils. The vines are planted in the localities of Bois de la Ville, la Cerise, les Galimardes, le Tresquoys and Valori.
- The grapes are entirely destemmed. The Grenache and Mourvèdre grapes are aged in cement vats while the Syrah is aged in barrels for 12 months before being bottled. The average production is between 2,000 and 2,500 cases.
- Preservation: It can be enjoyed in its early years between 2 and 3 years, with a potential of 15 to 20 years.
- Tasting : Nice cherry red color with mauve reflections, we discover a nice nose of cherry in brandy, crushed plum. Its mouth is round, fat with a lot of volume on the strawberry jam, raspberry and cherry jam, beautiful sweetness.
