• Cellaring : To be drunk from 2024 or kept in the cellar until 2045.
• Presentation of the wine : The Saumur Les Moulins de Guiberteau comes from a vineyard which was planted in 1935 and which was always renewed when necessary until 2008. Located in the communes of Montreuil-Bellay, Brézé and Bizay, this Chenin Blanc comes from clay-limestone soils cultivated in organic farming. The must, which is pressed from whole bunches, is fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured on the fine lees in a stainless steel tank. 
• Tasting notes: The wine has a lean but intense and taut character and shows a pure, fresh, chalky nose with intense and refreshing traits of lemon juice intermixed with some flint and floral notes. Dry, elegant and, in a subtle way, rich and juicy on the palate, this is a full-bodied, intense and fine Chenin, vibrantly fresh and tightly structured, with substance, grip and complexity. The finish is long-lasting, stimulating and salty. The 2019 reveals an exciting grip of minerals, tannins and chalky acidity. This is a superb effort from Guiberteau and highly recommended for all Chenin (and Chablis) fans.
