Provence
La Tourtine combines power and elegance. This plot-based cuvée is made from the selection of an exceptional terroir of 5.5 hectares, on a high hillside near the village of Le Castellet, where the vines are exposed to the sun as well as to the wind.
COMPOSITION
Mourvèdre (~85%), complemented by Grenache and Cinsault.
Average age of the vines : 45-50 years
VINIFICATION
Grapes are sorted in the vineyard and in the cellar; destemmed, crushed and put in the cellar for 3 to 4 weeks of fermentation thanks to indigenous yeasts.
BREEDING
In casks 18 months minimum before bottling.
Conservation: from 5 to 20 years, according to the taste of each one.
