Château Duhart-Milon 1972
Pauillac - 4ème Grand Cru Classé
The 76-hectare vineyard of Château Duhart Milon is planted with 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Merlot . This makes Château Duhart Milon one of the rare classified growths of 1855 with only two grape varieties planted in their vines. The entire estate covers 152 hectares.
The Château Duhart Milon wine is made in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in vats. Château Duhart Milon is then matured in an average of 50% new French oak barrels for 14 to 16 months, depending on the vintage. There is no real château, the wines are made in a cellar located in the village of Pauillac.
Château Duhart Milon is best served with all types of classic meat dishes, veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted, braised and grilled dishes.
