Échezeaux Grand Cru 2006 - Domaine de la Romanée Conti
Exceptional Grand Cru - Romanée Conti
- 94/100 Parker
- Cellaring : 2021 - 2050
- Tasted by William Kelley on April 30, 2021 : "This bottle of 2006 Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Echezeaux Grand Cru tastes extremely well, opening up in the glass with aromas of raspberries, cherries, spices, and rose petals, framed by high quality new oak. Voluptuous and structured, it is rich, muscular, with lively acids and plenty of powdery tannins. In my opinion, it still lacks a decade of maturity, but it is extremely drinkable now."
- Terroir Area: 4.6737 Ha
- The estate tells you: "Of all the estate's vintages, this is the earliest, least complex. It blossoms before the others with a delightful clarity of expression: a seductive tenderness dresses a steel skeleton that allows it to evolve with elegance. He is the younger brother of the Grands-Echézeaux, a glorious elder whose fortune he burns to equal. It sometimes comes close, speaking a muscular and conquering language.
