Presentation of the estate

Fanny Sabre had not planned to become a winegrower. She was studying law at university when her father died and she took over the management of the property. That's when she discovered that she liked it. Initially, it was with the help of natural wine pioneer Philippe Pacalet, who intervened after the death of Fanny's father. He taught Fanny to practice organic farming. When Pacalet took over his own projects, Fanny, then in her twenties, was left to manage the estate on her own. Today, she does most of the work herself, and she does it using entirely organic methods. The grapes are all grown organically and harvested by hand. Manual ploughing takes place between the rows of vines, which are sprayed only with organic mixes. No herbicides are used. The wines are produced on a small scale, with each vine stock being closely monitored and the winery receiving special attention. No synthetic chemicals are added, natural treatments are used instead.

The winegrower: Fanny Sabre 

Fanny Sabre's wines offer a perfect balance between masculinity and femininity, tannins and acidity, fruit and aroma. Her labels are feminine and playful, as in the Cuvée Anatole which shows a woman dressed in a flirtatious way who bends over to reveal (almost) her bottom while playing pétanque. This comes from the French expression "faire Fanny", which means not to score points at pétanque.
