Domaine Ferraton is located in the Vallée du Rhône, owned by Michel Chapoutier. It was created in 1946 by Mr Jean-Orëns Ferraton, son of a winegrower, who was succeeded by his son Michel Ferraton. The estate then became closer to the Maison Chapoutier and today it is a team of passionate people who manage the estate. The estate has been growing strongly, particularly in terms of quality since the early 2000s, with wines from a large number of appellations: Cornas, Côte-Rôtie, Crozes-Hermitage, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph etc. The enthusiasts and great tasters love his great wines of the Rhône in both red and white. The philosophy of the estate: "A soil respected by its owner, respect for the vine, and biodynamics methods." The vineyard of the Domaine Ferraton Père & Fils extends over the names Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint Joseph, but bunches of grapes are also purchased on many other appellations: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Cornas, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes-du-Rhône, Côtes-du- Rhône Villages Plan-de-Dieu et Tavel. Today, the vineyard works partly on biodynamics (without chemicals, fertilizers or pesticides).
Here is an overview of Domaine Ferraton's best rated vintages. These great years are based on the opinions, tasting notes of the greatest tasters, oenologists, etc. Here are the greatest vintages: 2009, 2015, 2013, 2010, 1990, 2012
