Château Figeac 2019
Saint-Emilion - Premier Grand Cru Classé B
(98 - 100)/100 Parker
- Tasting by Lisa Perrotti-Brown in 2020: "The 2019 Figeac is 30% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 36% Cabernet Franc, harvested from September 13 to October 7. This year's alcohol is 14.1% and the pH is 3.7. Scents of blackberries, black raspberries, Black Forest cake and black currants gracefully waft from the glass, followed by hints of plum jam, red roses, cinnamon toast and clove oil, and a hint of lavender. The palate glows with electric energy, framed by a solid backbone of wonderfully ripe, grainy Cabernet tannins and bold freshness, finishing with fantastic persistence and tons of layers of earth and emerging flowers. This is a simply stunning, seemingly effortless and beautifully harmonious expression of the vineyard and the vintage - bravo!"
