At the origin of Château Fleur Cardinale, there's Florence Decoster, the current owner. Her idea was born in 2000. At that time, her husband Dominique had just sold his Limoges Haviland porcelain business. "Take over a vineyard?" Dominique is puzzled. Then the idea took off. Both of them, lovers of nature and the arts of the table, end up finding the idea appealing. They visit the vineyard of Château Fleur Cardinale ideally situated on a limestone plateau a few kilometres from Saint-Emilion. Charmed by the location and the surrounding nature, they acquired the property in May 2001.
