Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé
96/100 James Suckling
- Laying down: Drink after 2026
- Tasted 2022: "Attractive aromas of blueberries and blackberries with graphite, black licorice and crushed stones. Dark chocolate too. Full-bodied. Impressive quality of tannic structure that starts soft and bright and continues to build, winning powerful throughout the palate. Deep and dense with a velvety dark fruit core. Really long, taut and persistent. 77% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The winemaker tells you about it:
"Its color is deep and dense. The pleasure continues on the nose, where an intense aromatic palette is revealed, on ripe fruits, sprinkled with floral and spicy notes. On the palate, the vintage charms with its balance and its generous substance, which are backed by noble and silky tannins. The finish is long and aromatic. In short, its personality surprises, as it knows how to be both powerful and elegant."
