The vineyard of Château Franc-Mayne is located in the north-western part of the appellation, on the hillside leading to the Côte de Franc. Franc-Mayne comes from a 7-hectare continuous estate that was once called La Gomerie. The property belonged to Jean Theillasoubre until 1984, then to the insurance company AXA then from 1996 to Georgy Fourcroy, a Belgian trader.
