Meursault 1er cru Les Genevrières 2023 - François Mikulski
Directly from the wine estate
- Vineyard of Meursault 1er Cru les Genevrières that since 1992 is half-shared (50% of the harvest for the owner, 50% of the harvest for the tenant).
- It has a surface area of 0.53 ares and faces east on the Meursault hillside. It is about 50 years old.
- The grape variety is 100% Chardonnay.
- Annual production: about 3000 bottles.
- It is cultivated under non-certified organic methods.
- The subsoil is composed of limestone pebbles laid on a load-bearing rock in fissured slabs. Between the slabs, silt has been installed by pouring brown earth. This type of soil optimises water storage. The root system settles in the cracks of the slabs.
- Ageing: with few new barrels (20%) and the rest in barrels of one, two and three wines allows the expression of the Terroir to be preserved.
- The greatest ageing potential of all the Mikulski wines. It is a powerful, elegant wine with a very good body.
