Monthélie Les Toisières 2023 - François Mikulski
From the wine estate
Monthélie Les Toisières: A Pinot Noir with character by Mikulski
François Mikulski's Monthélie Les Toisières is a red Burgundy wine produced in the Monthélie appellation, on terroirs located between Meursault and Volnay. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, organically grown and vinified with remarkable precision. The nose reveals aromas of fresh red fruit, morello cherry and subtle floral notes. On the palate, the wine seduces with its balance between finesse and intensity, with supple tannins, a beautiful freshness and a mineral finish that prolongs the pleasure. This wine embodies the elegance of Pinot Noir on a still confidential terroir.
Serving temperature, pairing and cellaring
To take full advantage of its aromatic complexity, we recommend serving this Monthélie between 15 and 16°C, after 30 minutes in a carafe. It goes wonderfully well with roast poultry, pork filet mignon with mushrooms or mature Comté cheese. This wine has an ageing potential of 5 to 8 years, allowing the aromas to develop gracefully over time. An excellent choice for Burgundy connoisseurs looking for a refined, confidential cuvée from one of the Côte de Beaune's most demanding winemakers.
