J.S. tasting: ‘A serious, energetic and refined white Saint-Joseph with plenty of aroma and character. The nose is full of lemons, quince peel, herbs and salt, which carry through to a medium body with bright acidity. Vertical and saline, with a precise core of lively lemons and herbs bringing a ton of vivacity to the centre of the palate. Stony and dynamic. Drink it or keep it.’
THE ESTATE TELLS YOU ABOUT IT
A blend of 50% Marsanne and 50% Rousanne fermented in barrels, the Saint Joseph Blanc Mairlant 2018 offers charming aromas of honey, melon and pineapple. It is medium-bodied, with a spicy sensation and an almost minty aftertaste.
It can be drunk now and until 2024 to accompany seafood, cheese or poultry.
