- Origin: Chavanay and Malleval
- Grape varieties: 80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne
- Soil: Decomposed granite
- Vine age: 70% of vines are 40 years old, 30% are 10 years old
- Aging: 13 months on lees, without racking, in barrels and foudres.
Tasting
On the nose, Saint Joseph Blanc “Fruit d'Avilleran” reveals honeyed aromas accompanied by notes of exotic fruit. On the palate, its velvety texture is enhanced by hints of citrus fruit. The finish is long, fresh and perfectly balanced.
Vinification details
Harvest : Direct pressing
Fermentation : In barrels, at low temperature, with indigenous yeasts. Bâtonnage (stirring of the lees) once a week for 6 months.
Aging: 14 months on fine lees without racking, in barrels and foudres.
