The domaine Geantet-Pansiot was founded in 1954 when Edmond Geantet married Bernadette Pansiot.
The newlyweds both settled in Gevrey and began to work on their 3-hectare estate of vines spread over the Gevrey-Chambertin and Burgundy appellations. After having enlarged his estate by progressively buying other vines, his son Vincent naturally joined the estate in 1977.
At that time, the estate had 7 hectares. The trust shared between father and son allowed the estate to quickly optimize its production and to successfully alternate between different periods and methods. In 2006, Fabien naturally joined the family business, reinforcing the idea of natural transmission that characterises the estate so well.
This is how this family estate, now run by Vincent Geantet and his son Fabien, whose reputation extends beyond the borders of Burgundy, gradually grew by 4 hectares of Gevrey-Chambertin in 1991, 0.6 hectares of Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru in 1994, and more recently, in 1999, a parcel of Gevrey, at the time of the sale of the Domaine Vachet-Rousseau, to count today 13 hectares.
