FIND OUT MORE :
Château Grand Puy Ducasse is a winery located in the Bordeaux wine region of France. It is classified as a fifth Grand Cru in the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855.
- The château is located in the commune of Pauillac, on the left bank of the Gironde, and shares a border with the famous Château Lynch-Bages. It boasts a vineyard of around 40 hectares, planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (40%) grapes. The vines are on average 35 years old and are cultivated in the traditional way, with particular attention paid to quality and respect for the environment.
- The wines produced by Château Grand Puy Ducasse are renowned for their elegance, structure and ability to age well. They are characterized by aromas of ripe black fruit, spices and cedar, with firm tannins and good acidity. Grand Puy Ducasse wines can be enjoyed in their youth, but they are also known for their ability to improve with age, developing more complex nuances and great harmony.
- Since 2004, the château has been owned by the Borie family, who also own Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, a second grand cru classé in Saint-Julien. Under the Borie family's management, the estate has benefited from major investments in vineyards and winemaking facilities, which have further enhanced the quality of the wines.
