Domaine Gros'Noré 2016 - Bandol rouge
93/100 Parker :
"One of my favorite 2016s, Gros Noré's 2016 Bandol is a complex, savory offering with at least 15 years of life ahead of it. Dark, plummy fruit picks up notes of mocha, roasted meat and mushrooms on the medium to full-bodied palate. Rich and velvety from start to long, long finish, this is nice, nice stuff, a blend of 80% Mourvèdre with 15% Grenache and 5% Cinsault aged in foudres." Joe Czerwinski
The red wine of Bandol is made up of several grape varieties, each of which brings its own personality to the wine. The Grenache brings a fruity touch, the Cinsault contributes to the finesse of the wine, the Carignan gives it its acidity and the Mourvèdre gives the wine its structure.
All these vines are between 40 and 60 years old.
All these grape varieties are blended together to create the overall harmony of the wine.
Made from native yeasts, this wine is neither filtered nor fined.
