- TASTING NOTE: A fully mature, dark garnet-colored 1985 exhibits notes of tapenade, earth, sweet berries, black currants, and perhaps a hint of black truffles. The wine is fleshy, without any hardness. Sweet fruit, plenty of glycerin, and a very seductive style make this a very sumptuous, complex, and fully mature Gruaud-Larose.
