Looking for a bottle of Château Haut Brion White 1989?
Pessac-Léognan - Premier Grand Cru Classé
100/100 Parker: legendary vintage. A very rare wine
- When to drink this wine? Grand cru at maturity, can be drunk now.
- Parker's 2001 tasting: "This is the most immense and greatest Haut-Brion Blanc I have ever tasted. Jean Delmas, administrator of the Dillon estates, rightly felt that the 1989 perfectly reproduced the fleshy, chewy texture of a white Burgundy grand cru. Only 600 cases were produced of this rich, alcoholic, sumptuous wine with its deep yellow/gold colour. It is surprisingly full and long on the palate, with a distinctive mineral and honeyed character. The low acidity seems to indicate a shorter than normal lifespan, but I'm convinced this wine will last 25 years or more. It's a real favourite! Sweet, honeyed aromas of peach, toffee and butter waft from the glass of this prodigious wine."
