By William Kelley in 2022: "The 2020 Beaune Les Prévoles floats in the glass with aromas of plums, raw cocoa, spices and orange peel. Quite powerful, lively and fleshy, with powdery tannins, crisp acidity and a saline finish, it is a little closed after its recent bottling, but will bounce back with style to offer a wide drinking window."

With its brown soil of limestone and deeper alluvium, this fertile terroir, situated between 220 and 350 metres above sea level, nourishes a 30 year old vine and gives birth to an open and joyful wine, in the image of the town whose name it bears: Beaune, capital of Burgundy wines. This Beaune offers floral notes on the nose and complex spicy aromas on the palate. Its minerality and the elegance of the tannins announce a nice potential for development over the next five years.
