THE CUVEE
“La Brulade” from Domaine de La Bégude is a Bandol red wine from the highest plot of the property and the appellation. Overlooking the sea, at an altitude of 410 meters, the vines of this plot benefit from strong sunshine during the day, tempered by the sea breeze and the coolness of the nights. In this windy sector, the Mourvèdres ripen slowly in perfect conditions.

Cellaring: 2023 - 2035
Tasting by Joe Czerwinski e, 2023: ‘From tiny yields of just over 20 hectolitres per hectare, the 2019 Bandol la Brulade is almost entirely mourvèdre (with about 5% grenache) and aged in a mix of demi-muids and foudres. If there's anything to complain about, it's that the fruit is so ripe and the oak so obvious that the wine lacks a touch of idiosyncratic character. This is a soft, supple, fairly full-bodied wine, with pure black cherry and berry fruit framed by hints of oak and soft, ripe tannins on the lingering finish.’
