This is the famous Labruyère Champagne estate. Find all the best references of this prestigious domain on Comptoir des Millésimes. This is one of our partner estates, which means that their wines are sent directly to our cellar after being bottled at their estate. The winemakers reserve an allocation of their cases of wine for us each year. So don't hesitate to create an email alert (in the my alerts section) on the Labruyère Champagne estate in order to be the first to know about the latest arrivals.
This house is actually owned by Domaine Jacques Prieur*.
Domaine Labruyère is one of the oldest wine estates in the Moulin-a-Vent appellation. In 1870, Jean-Marie Labruyère, a winegrower, settled in Les Thorins, a hamlet in Romanèche-Thorins. Since then, several generations of the Labruyère family have run the estate and subsequently acquired the famous "Clos du Moulin-a-Vent", a 2.3 hectare vineyard which is the only monopoly in the appellation.
Over the past 20 years, Jean-Pierre and Edouard Labruyère have concentrated on acquiring what they consider to be the key parcels at the heart of the Moulin-a-Vent appellation, which is classified as one of the ten village crus. Elsewhere in France, the Labruyère family is also present in three other appellations:
* In 2012, Edouard Labruyère created a new house called Champagne Labruyère, which joined the existing family operations of Domaine Jacques Prieur in Burgundy and Château Rouget in Pomerol.
