Are you looking for bottles of Chateau Lafleur 2005 ?
Very rare Pomerol wine
100/100 Parker
When to drink this wine : 2020 - 2050
Tasted by Robert M. Parker in 2015: "This astonishing wine is an aromatic firework, with a stunning nose of blue and black fruits, underbrush, flowers, and earth. Dense purple, full-bodied, rich, moderately tannic and super-concentrated, this is a deep Pomerol that needs another decade of cellaring. This is perhaps the greatest Lafleur of the modern era, rivaling the 1982 and 2000. Forget about it in the cellar for another 5-10 years and drink it over the next quarter century."
What connoisseur of Pomerol wines would fail to savor a Château Lafleur?
Although this estate is appreciated by experts, it does not enjoy the same reputation as Château Le Pin or Pétrus. Is this due to its small vineyard area (4.5 hectares)? Probably, but ignoring Château Lafleur due to its modest size would be regrettable given the exceptional quality of this Pomerol wine.
How to serve and enjoy it?
This exceptional nectar deserves to be presented with all the attention it deserves. To start, make sure to serve Château Lafleur at the ideal temperature, around 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, to fully release its captivating aromas.
Once uncorked, this pearl of Pomerol reveals a rich and complex sensory palette. On the nose, you will be enveloped by captivating scents of ripe black fruits, elegant flowers and subtle woody notes. On the palate, the experience continues with a velvety texture and deep flavors of black cherries, truffles, and a subtle touch of tobacco. The tannins are silky, offering a perfectly balanced structure and a long, lingering finish. It is made mainly from the Merlot and Cabernet Franc grape varieties, thus bringing their distinctive character to this exceptional wine. This harmonious combination gives the wine its incomparable complexity and elegance, placing it among the greatest Pomerol wines.
Where are the vines located?
Château Lafleur is located close to some of the most prestigious names in the AOC Pomerol: Pétrus, Château La Fleur-Pétrus, Vieux Château Certan and Château Hosanna. These wines enjoy an undisputed reputation.
