Château Léoville Las Cases 1989
Saint-Julien - 2ème Grand Cru Classé
96/100 Wine Spectator
Tasting note on May 31, 2010 by James Suckling: "Very ripe, with raisins and dried fruit on the nose. You can smell the sun-dried grapes. Full-bodied, with firm tannins and a very fresh palate. Long and flavorful, offering currant, berries and all kinds of black fruits, but it becomes slightly earthy and floral. It is a wine of great complexity. It's just starting to open up to the mature 20 year old that it is, but it has such a great life ahead of it. Muscular."
Cellaring: Drink now.
