- Serviceability : 16-17
- Garde : 10 years and more (even 15/20 years if very good vintage)
GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION
The vineyard of Beaune, located between Savigny les Beaune in the North and Pommard in the South, is the most extensive of the Côte de Beaune. There are no Grands Crus in this commune, but 36 Premiers Crus.
CHARACTERISTICS
The vineyard of Beaune is almost totally situated on the slope, and therefore benefits from a large classification of its climates as "Premiers Crus" of which "Les Grèves" is one. The soil is light and stony, hence its name.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The grapes, characterized by very black berries, are destemmed and vinified in open vats for about 4 weeks, thus fully revealing all the subtlety of this terroir. After devatting, the wines are put into oak barrels in our cellars and matured for 18 months.
