GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Chambolle-Musigny is a charming village on the Côte de Nuits, nestled between Gevrey-Chambertin to the north and Vosne-Romanée to the south.
CHARACTERISTICS
The Drazey vineyard lies close to the Baudes and Sentiers premiers crus.The stony soil is mainly limestone and gravel, with an east-south-east orientation.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING
The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates to preserve the integrity of the fruit. The grapes are then hand-sorted and destemmed.Maceration takes place in open wooden or stainless steel vats for three to four weeks.The vats are pumped over twice a day during fermentation.Aging lasts around 18 months in barrels from our cooperage, of which around a third are new.
