GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION
Fixin occupies a special place among the 30 renowned villages that make up the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. For those who remember the 19th or early 20th century, Fixin evokes the great value of its wines, characteristic of the northern part of the Côte de Nuits.
CHARACTERISTICS
The village lies at an altitude of between 270 and 360 metres, with gentle east-facing slopes. The soils are underlain by a very pronounced limestone bedrock, with some traces of marl.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING
The grapes, distinguished by their intense black berries, are destemmed and vinified in open vats for around 4 weeks, revealing all the subtlety of this terroir. After devatting, the wines are transferred to oak barrels in our cellars, where they mature for 18 months.
