Meursault Charmes 1er cru 2022 - Louis jadot
Great Bourgogne estate
95/100 James Suckling
Tasted in 2024 - “From the upper part of the Premier Cru slope, where temperatures are a little cooler, this elegant, fairly full-bodied wine has retained its freshness and acidity in a warm vintage. It is mellow, layered and velvety, with nuances of baked apple, vanilla and nutmeg, and a persistent finish. Drink now or cellar.”
GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION
Meursault, in the south of the Côte de Beaune, is renowned for its great white wines. Its vineyard is spread out on slopes between 230 and 360 meters of altitude.
CHARACTERISTICS
Nice first growth resting on a magnesian limestone soil. It is located on brown soils in different layers on top of the mother rock from the bottom of the hillside to mid-slope. The vineyard faces east.
