The vines of Pernand-Vergelesses are located near Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune, in a beautiful valley. They benefit from an east/south-west exposure, with altitudes varying between 260 and 380 meters.
CHARACTERISTICS
Clos de la Croix de Pierre is located in the heart of the “En Caradeux” Premier Cru, near the typical village of Pernand-Vergelesses. The soil is limestone with a very stony surface. At the entrance to the vineyard stands the Croix de Pierre, a large cross.The majority of this parcel is planted with Pinot Noir.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING
The grapes are hand-picked into small crates to preserve their integrity.They are then gently pressed and fermented in barrels from our cooperage, a third of which are new.
Aging lasts around 15 months on fine lees before preparation for bottling.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 12-14°C
AGING POTENTIAL: 5 to 15 years, depending on conditions.
