LOCATION
Located in the south of Burgundy, at the northern limit of Beaujolais, Pouilly-Fuissé is the summit of the wines of the Mâconnais, in the heart of the great white appellations (Fuissé, Pouilly-Loché, Pouilly-Vinzelles and Saint-Véran).
INFORMATION ON THE VINEYARD
Pouilly Fuissé is produced exclusively from the Chardonnay grape. The production is small (700 hectares planted) and covers the steep hillsides of the village of Fuisé, Solutré, Pouilly, Vergisson and Chaintré, where the soils are a mixture of clay and chalk from the Jurassic era.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION
The different wines are blended after a traditional vinification. The wine is aged for 8 to 10 months in oak barrels from our cooperage or in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
