Directly from the wine estate
The Maladière climate is located mid-slope, at an altitude of 300 to 320 meters.The western part has a brown, more clayey soil, while the eastern part has a limestone slab. The estate covers 5 hectares, with some vines over 50 years old.
CHARACTERISTICS
Wines from this terroir are characterized by powerful structure and aromatic complexity, enhanced by long barrel ageing.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING
The grapes, with their very dark berries, are destemmed and vinified in open vats for around 4 weeks, allowing the full finesse of the terroir to express itself. After devatting, the wines are transferred to oak barrels in our cellars, where they age for 18 months.
