J.S. tasting: ‘Love the almond and baked apple character with mineral and meringue notes. Full-bodied with juicy fruit and cream flavours. The acidity is also bright. Intense with mineral and spicy nuances. Drink now or cellar.
THE ESTATE TELLS YOU ABOUT THE WINE :
Description : After the ravages of Phylloxera at the end of the 19th century, the Louis Latour family decided to uproot the dead vines of Aligoté and Pinot Noir and replace them with Chardonnay. Today, with 10.5 hectares, Louis Latour is the largest owner of this Grand Cru. The Corton-Charlemagne vineyard is located in the best part of the Corton hillside, where the south-east exposure ensures that the vines receive ideal sunshine and a perfect balance between acidity and grape maturity.
