What the estate has to say about it :
- Description: The Latour Family has owned part of Romanée-Saint-Vivant since December 1898. "Les Quatre Journaux" is a magnificent parcel of land located to the south-west of Romanée-Saint-Vivant, a few metres from Romanée-Conti. A "Journal" is an old Burgundian measure corresponding to about 0.40 hectares (34.28 ares). Although the initial purchase by the LATOUR family was for the entire parcel, half of it was later sold. Today, Maison Louis Latour owns 0.8 hectares of Romanée-Saint-Vivant. A wonderfully aromatic wine, with a velvety texture, it culminates in a persistent and powerful finish. It is one of the greatest red wines of the House.
