93/100 James Suckling
Ageing potential: 2027 - 2035+.
Tasted by JS in 2024 : ‘This is a structured wine for the year, with aromas of chocolate, redcurrant, cedar and dried flowers. Quite full-bodied, with solid depth and a chewy finish. 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot. Give it three or four years to soften. Drink after 2027.
Lynch-Moussas is a prestigious red wine from the Pauillac terroir in the heart of the Médoc, on Bordeaux's left bank. This 1855 Cru Classé is distinguished by its elegance and tannic structure, characteristic of the great wines of this region. It is mainly made from noble grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which give it power and depth. On the palate, it offers complex aromas of black fruits, tobacco and spices, with good ageing potential to develop further nuances over the years.
