Tasted by Neal Martin in 2017: "Denis Barraud has made a very impressive 2016 Lynsolence. It has a crisp, well-defined bouquet with scents of blackberry and wild bocage, a little muted at first but a few swirls are enough. The palate is quite powerful, with chewy tannins on entry, fine, well-balanced acidity and a harmonious finish with a cheeky hint of orange peel. More refined than I've noticed from previous vintages, while still retaining its intensity, this wine comes highly recommended."
