Mas de Daumas Gassac White 2006
Languedoc
WINE OF THE WARD. A blend of VIOGNIER, CHARDONNAY, PETIT MANSENG & CHENIN BLANC with 17% of a collection of rare grape varieties.
A subtle white wine born on the bright white Lutetian limestone that surrounds the red ochre glacial sandstone hills bordering the Gassac stream.
This is where the second exceptional terroir is located, the one that signs the white wines of Mas de Daumas Gassac. Four noble varieties dominate: Viognier from the Rhône, Petit Manseng from the Pyrenees, Chenin from the Loire and Chardonnay from Burgundy.
These four intertwined varieties create the framework of Mas de Daumas Gassac Blanc. The cool micro-climate of the valley allows the maintenance of a beautiful natural acidity, which protects the immense palette of aromas.
