Maury 1977 L'Archiviste
Philippe Gayral
Style : Natural sweet wine
Garde : Can be drunk now or kept in the cellar.
Provenance : This wine comes from the vats of the domain (bought by Mr Gayral, specialist in natural sweet wine). Recently bottled.
Tasting : The bouquet is very harmonious, with notes of kirsch, brandy, menthol and cardamom, well defined. The mouth is round and very harmonious, without asperities. There's a tingle of lemongrass and ginger on the back palate, complemented by fennel, cumin and oregano toward the caressing finish. This is a beautifully crafted Maury by Philippe Gayral.
