Do you know the Domaine Michel Sarrazin & Fils?

This is a superb Burgundy domain. The Sarrazin brothers are known for producing high altitude Burgundy from the Côte Chalonnaise of remarkable quality! The vineyard can be found from the village of Jambles, a tiny hamlet just outside Givry, 300 metres above sea level.

Over the past decade, the brothers have earned a reputation as meticulous stewards of their high-altitude vineyards around Givry, Mercurey and Maranges. 

 

They make traditional wines that show a clarity of terroir uncommon in the region, with all fruit de-stemmed and extraction kept to a minimum. All wines are aged in barrels exclusively from the famous cooper François Frères and are bottled without fining or filtering. These are pure, mineral wines that offer a textured and balanced Pinot Noir.
