Chateau Monbousquet 2003
Saint Emilion Grand Cru - Persian Vineyard
93/100 Parker
Parker's 2014 tasting: “Monbousquet has turned in an astonishing performance. The 2003 shows plenty of fat and succulence, as well as a full-bodied, sexy palate, with lots of black cherry and cassis fruit intermixed with licorice, baking spices and roasted herbs. Fully ripe, but in no danger of collapsing or declining, it has a lovely plum/garnet color right to the rim. This spirited 2003 was one of the vintage's best buys on release, and continues to prove that good winemaking and vineyard management in lesser-known terroirs can produce wines far superior to their pedigree. Drink over the next 2-3 years.
