The Château Mouton Rothschild is an 84-hectare vineyard estate, 4 of which are white. It is famous in the Médoc and located in the commune of Pauillac. It produces one of the most prestigious wines of Pauillac, with Château Latour and Château Lafite. The Château Mouton Rothschild is a "premier grand cru classé" according to the Official Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855. Le Petit Mouton is the second wine of the estate, whose quality has increased over the last decade. Since 1945, Mouton has marked each of its vintages by publishing a label entrusted to an artist. The 75-hectare vineyard of the Château Mouton Rothschild is composed of 80% de Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% of Merlot, 3% of Cabernet Franc et 1% of Petit Verdot. This shows a slight change in the vineyard since the mid-1990s, marked by a slight reduction in Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, with an increase in Merlot
