Pauillac - Premier Grand Cru Rated
WHEN TO DRINK THIS WINE?
This is a rare and ancient vintage of Mouton Rothschild. It matured decades ago. You can enjoy it today or collect it.
THE VINEYARD
The vineyard is planted on very deep gravel, with grape varieties typical of the region: Cabernet Sauvignon (81%), Merlot (15%), Cabernet Franc (3%) and Petit Verdot (1%). This proportion is not identical in the wine, as the blend varies according to the character of each vintage.
LABEL PRODUCED BY: Robert Motherwell (1915-1991)
A perfect illustration of Mortherwell's painting, his work for the label of Mouton Rothschild 1974 allows us to appreciate the creative power of one of the most important figures of the New York School.
