Château Mouton Rothschild 1997
Pauillac - Premier Grand Cru Rated
Only 55% of the harvest was used to make Mouton-Rothschild 1997. One of the most accessible and developed Moutons of recent years, it embodies all the charm and generosity this vintage has to offer. A blend of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot, this wine boasts a dense ruby/purple color and an open bouquet combining notes of cedar, blackberry liqueur, blackcurrant and coffee. Full-bodied, ripe and generous, with low acidity, supple tannins and beautiful concentration accompanied by admirable length, this delicious Pauillac will be ready to drink in 2-3 years and can be kept for over 15 years. An impressive achievement for this vintage.
